Jonathan Holmes is a digital broadcast journalist. His main brief is to look after the digital content that sits on Radio Bristol’s Facebook and Twitter pages. That means editing, filming and a to of working with Points West regional TV.
Jonathan started out as a broadcast assistant on radio Bristol’s breakfast programme, but he has completely left radio behind for the brave new world of digital content. In effect, he is now doing a brand new job without changing BBC sites!
We are looking forward to meeting Jonathan at the Alumni Conference!

Hasina now works for the Medical Research Council.
Hasina Sacranie is a former University of Lincoln Journalism student who graduated with First Class Honour’s in 2010. Since graduating, Hasina has gained valuable experience in different organisations including Natural England, where she worked as a licensing and communications support advisor for just under 3 years, and the National Apprenticeship Service for a year, as a Copyeditor.
Hasina is currently working for the Medical Research Council (MRC) as a Web Content Editor. The MRC is a non-departmental public body, funded through the governments’ science and research budget. Some of the organisation’s notable successes include the development of penicillin, invention of MRI and DNA fingerprinting. Her job entails her to take a strategic overview of the MRC’s corporate website and associated microsites. Hasina is also responsible for design, writing, editing and updating content in line with the MRC’s communication’s objectives. We are looking forward to meeting with Hasina at the Alumni event and talking with her more thoroughly about her life after university.
